According to information on census of Davidson County, North Carolina,
Brittain could not read or write.

The olf Vernon Methodist Church was sold to the Primitive Baptist in 1893.  The church is located on Friendship=Ledford Road, 0.3 mile from Old Lexington Road.  Rowan County Cemetery book list grave for Brittan Walser in Row 7, grave #12, with no dates listed and grave #13 for Phebe C., wife of Brittan Walser, born 7/3/1831; died 9/20/1900.


General Notes: Wife - Elizabeth Wood



In all probability, Elizabeth was buried in the Walser Cemetery, on Hwy 64.  Unfortunately,  other than the stone for Frederick, none survived the years.
