Lodrick served in the Revolutionary War and was given a land grant for his services.  This land was located in the Buckeye Community, and got  it's name because the church and school were built  of Buckeye logs. (From papers supplied by Betty Robertson, Lynchburg, Tennessee)

Lodrick (Loderick) received a pension of $8.00 per month, beginning 4/1872 for his service during the Revolution.
