Ed moved to California in November 0f 1935 and went to work at Redlands Highlands Pesto Control, in Citrus. In the fall of 1941, he returned to Missouri where he farmed until the summer of 1942. He moved back to California and went back to work for Redlands Highland Pesto Control where he worked until his death in 1972.
