A. J. wrote popular hymn, "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" .

West Hill Cemetery information indicates that A.J. is buried on one
side of the Showalter cemetery lot and Callie is buried on the opposite side.  There are 7 burial spaces between them--apparently one for each of their children.

Karl Redan Showalter is buried between his parents, as is Karl & Dora's infant son, born and died 1908.
