James Henry was a member of the 3rd Arkansas Cavalry, Company G. He served as a Private. The 3rd Arkansas Cavalry was organized at Little Rock, Arkansas, June 10, 1861, under the command of Colonel Solon Borland, and was initially known as the 1st Arkansas Mounted Volunteers.
