Remembrances of Margaret (Robertson) Garner are that Price was taken by his mother's parents when she died.  About 2 years later,  Price was sick and R.C. and son, John, went by train to Taylor to see him. On their arrival they were quarantined, as Price probably had diptheria and died shortly after their arrival.

The following is the obituary for Stella Estelle Stephens Lloyd.  It was published October 20, 1995 in the Greenville Herald Banner.  Copies can be obtained from Charlie Vines.

     WOLFE CITY -- Sevices for Stelle E. Lloyd, 91, of Wolfe City, will be 2p.m. today at First Baptist Church with burial at Mount Carmel Cemetery.  Rev. Robert Renfro and Rev. Bob Gregory will officiate.
     Mrs. Lloyd died Wednesday at Whitewright Care Center.
     Born in Tupelo, Miss., on Oct 27, 1903, she was the daughter of Carroll A. and Mary Jane Stephens.  On Dec. 26, 1922, she married Allen S. Lloyd in Wolfe City.  Mrs. Lloyd was a retired seamstress and member of First Baptist Church.
     Survivors include a son, Johnnie Lloyd of Wolfe City; four daughters, Mary Dygert of San Antonio, Dorothy Boswell of Austin, Betty Pierce of Wolfe City, and Laura Vaden of Colleyville; brother, Verlon Stephens of Amarillo; and 13 grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband on Aug. 30, 1983.
     R. W. Owens & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
     Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
